Historically, Adolf Hitler died on April 30, 1945 in a bunker in Germany. But did you know there was a rumor that circulated in Indonesia that Hitler was not killed in 1945 because he managed to escape to Indonesia, to become a doctor in Sumbawa and died in Surabaya in 1970?

Rumors are circulating when an article in the Daily Mind in 1983. Writer named Dr. Sosrohusodo – doctors graduated from University of Indonesia who had served on the ship that made the hospital named ‘Hope’ in Sumbawa Besar.
He recounts meeting with an old German doctor named Poch in Sumbawa Besar Island in 1960. Poch is the chairman of the largest hospitals in the island.

Evidence presented Sosrohusodo, is that the doctor can not run normally — He always dragging his left leg when walking, his head bare, and his hands always trembling. His confidence appears when a nephew, in 1980, gave him a biography of Adolf Hitler Heinz Linge essay translated in Indonesian by Budi Satria Try. In a 59 page article that described Hitler’s physical condition in old age. “Some Germans knew Hitler dragging his feet as he walked, the more blurred vision, hair no longer grows. When war raged and Germany kept getting hit less, Hitler suffered from a neurological disorder.” The book also described Hitler’s left hand always shaking since the battle of Stalingrad (1942 -1943) – which is a devastating blow to the German army. Sosro admitted to checking the left hand of his who is always vibrating. When asked when these symptoms begin to occur, Poch then asked his wife who then said, “This happens when the German defeat in the battle near Moscow. Goebbels When it tells you that you beat the table many times.”
Goebbels called the wife of Joseph Poch is alleged Goebbe, German propaganda minister, known loyal to Hitler. Sosro said, Poch’s wife, Eva Braun allegedly, several times calling her husband ‘Dolf’, which allegedly stands for Adolf Hitler.

Poch died on January 15, 1970 at 19:30 in Karang Menjangan Surabaya Hospital of a heart attack, at the age of 81 years. Poch known remarried to a woman from Bandung Sundanese initials S. After closing the mouth, S finally gave all the documents belonging to her husband on Sosro, including wedding photos, complete with a driver’s license fingerprint Poch. There is also a book containing the names catatatan Germans living in several countries, such as Argentina, Italy, Pakistan, South Africa, and Tibet.
There are also writings of Hitler suspected escape route – B (Berlin), S (Salzburg), G (Graz), J (Yugoslavia), B (Belgrade), S (Sarajevo), R (Rome), before he was to Sumbawa large. Second wife Poch, S also told one day she saw her husband shave Hitler style mustache. When she asks, her husband replied, “do not tell anyone.” Sosro admitted there was no ulterior motive behind his claim. “I just wanted to show Hitler died in Indonesia,” he said.

At that time, the theory is quite extensive Dr.Sosrohusodo attention in the local media. It may inspire Peter Levenda, American writer, to write a book about this theory in 2012, which effectively makes the claim Dr.Sosrohusodo become quite well known in the west.

This is photo of Dr.Poch which he claimed to be Hitler and Hittler when he was young.

Is not his face is very similar to Dr.Poch?
But then, I realized one thing. There are fundamental differences which then makes me doubt that both are the same person.
Body shape and face shape can be changed even if we grow older, grow thin or fat increases, but there is one that will not change. It is Earlobe or ear lobule. Although man has many such ears, but for Earlobe, anatomists usually just divide it into two major parts,  Free Earlobe and Attached Earlobe.

Hittler had Free Earlobe whereas Dr. Poch had Attached Earlobe.

So, with this simple method, we can conclude that Dr. Poch is not Hitler and that Dr. Sosrohusodo’s claims are wrong.

Did an apple really hit Isaac Newton’s head?

Posted by : Andrea Putri Karina

Newton hit on the headYou must have heard the famous story that the scientist Sir Isaac Newton sitting under a tree, when an apple fell on his head. It happened in 1666, when Newton had fled the plague in Cambridge and sat thinking in his mother’s garden, he wondered if the same force that made an apple fall also applied to the Moon, and everything else in the sky. He decided to investigate if some single force could explain all of their motion.

But the question is, “Did an apple really hit Isaac Newton’s head?” Fortunately, the poor apple gaved him the inspiration for the laws of gravity, or the poor apple would never be forgiven! But even though the falling apple is a good story, it never actually happened. The story was first published in an essay by Voltaire, long after Newton’s death. Before that, Newton’s niece, Catherine Conduitt, was the only person who ever told the story. It was almost certainly an invention.

So, in fact, a myth in a history is a fiction invented so as to make us understand how historical it could happen.
